Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities is a Crown agency with the purpose of providing public housing with the organisation having built over 60,000 houses since its establishment in 2019. In 2020 they purchased land on multiple streets in Hastings, Hawkes Bay. These specific houses are located on Jellicoe, Hood and Beatty Street in the suburb of Mayfair. In total there are 24 separate houses consisting of 5 one bedroom homes, 5 two bedroom, 4 three bedroom, 6 four bedroom and 4 five bedroom. Having such a variety means that people in all different scenarios whether they be a retired couple or a large family, a Kainga Ora home can be for anyone. We have been involved in the process since the beginning and have provided our services of cost planning and management to assist with the project.
